Small book design for Caroline McQuarrie's exhibition 'The land, again'. The book sits alongside a body of work made almost entirely from wool, woven and cross stitched at an expanded scale to trace the history of sheep farming landscapes in Aotearoa New Zealand and the shifting cultural value we place on land.

Typography and layout were kept restrained, with matt stock and a decorative stitch binding referencing the large-scale, textural works themselves. The result is a publication that holds its own as an object while staying firmly in service of the exhibition.
